Chris Farrow

My aim is to illustrate the form and texture of the landscape through careful and tight composition that isolates the main object of the image from its environment.  The result can  be anything from a very simple & highly graphic image to one that is immensely detailed and textured throughout. 

I work in colour, but the nature of the images and the light that I seek out renders the majority of my images almost monochromatic with just subtle colouring to enhance the mood. 

Trees are a particular passion of mine.  I love the shape and form of tree skeletons in the winter, especially when frost and snow drain even more colour from the landscape.
